Full in-house manufacturing capabilities
Orbital offers full in-house manufacturing, combining CNC machining, welding, fabrication, and assembly to deliver precision components and integrated systems. We design and build instrumentation panels, gas systems, and vacuum assemblies in controlled environments, ensuring quality and reliability. With certified welders and expertise across semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and research sectors, we provide high-purity systems built to exact specifications.
ISO class 5 & 6 cleanroom facilities
Cleanroom workstation facilities certified to class ISO 5 and two additional cleanroom workstations specified to ISO class 6. We can accommodate simple one-off weld assemblies to complete gas and fluid handling systems.
Welding, assembly & manufacturing within a calibrated and controlled environment
Pressure and vacuum leak testing within the same environment, ensuring no compromise of products
Packaging in cleanrooms ensures product arrives with the customer in the same condition as it leaves our facility
Our welding, assembly, and manufacturing processes are carried out within a calibrated and controlled environment to ensure the highest quality standards. Within this same environment, we also perform pressure and vacuum leak testing, guaranteeing that product integrity is never compromised. Additionally, all packaging is completed in cleanrooms, ensuring that each product reaches the customer in the exact same pristine condition in which it left our facility.
TESTING AND DOCUMENTATION
We offer a wide range of testing and supporting documentation for all installations
- Pneumatic pressure testing
- Helium leak testing using mass spectrometers
- Full 3.1 material certification
- Certificates of Conformity
- OEM operation & maintenance manuals
- Weld maps / Weld logs
- Welder qualifications
- As-built drawings
- System P&IDs
Helium mass spectrometry testing
Helium mass spectrometers used in-house and on site for leak detection and to qualify overall installation integrity
- 1 x 10-9 mbar l s-1 flow rate detection levels
- This equates to ppm level detection
Written Scheme of Examination
Ensuring your safety compliance
Orbital Fabrications provides a comprehensive documentation package during installation, which may include component schedules, layout schematics, pressure test certificates, and P&IDs. We also offer optional Written Scheme of Examination (WSE) documentation, with annual inspections and updates as needed for any changes, such as new gas lines or modifications to existing systems. Our team of Pressure Safe qualified engineers ensures your ongoing PSSR compliance. Additionally, we can assess and provide WSE documentation for installations carried out by third parties.
